Amidst all of the pageantry and pomp of today's festivities, I like to remember this photo. A last-minute, early morning campaign stop was scheduled for suburban Philadelphia, and the weather was frigid and wet. With the kids sick, I made the difficult decision not to schlep them to the rally, but was so impressed with the photos of our new president standing in the freezing rain, unflinching. What better metaphor for the job he is about to undertake?
