Harvest

I'll write a real post soon. But meanwhile, I'm falling back on the blogger's best cop-out -- garden photos. All of the below bounty came out of my garden on Sunday. Harvesting food that we've grown gives me a rare visceral delight.

From left to right: lettuce of many colors, Swiss chard in red and green, broccoli, sungold tomatoes, broccoli raab, and basil standing up behind.

Looks good enough to eat.

I am green with envy....

particularly the lettuce, I wish mine would grow like yours, but the heat is pretty tough on my poor garden....

Everything looks fantastic!

All I can grow is mold. And impatience. That brocolli looks fabulous!

I am so freaking jealous. Next year, I expand the garden and I'm growing broccoli. Mmmmmm...

Yum.. Makes me think of my Irish grandfather's garden. I spent many hours out there with him.
