Because there are times when words utterly fail me.
World's tiniest cookies: before and after the oven.
Lighting the candles and horsing around with cousins.
Hosting an open house the day after it snowed 22". Luckily, people still came out.
Cheese and home-cured gravlax.
The dessert table.
Chocolate mousse cake.
Clementine-basil tartlets.
Pecan-jam shortbread cookies and chocolate-dipped gingersnaps.
Miniature cheesecakes. NOM.
Peanut butter mousse in chocolate shells, topped with peanut brittle.
Making scores of yule logs ("buche de noel") for the baking business.
Making a gingerbread house with the kids. I did the piping, they did all the rest.
Sleeping it off.

OMG--it's a good thing I was stuck at the theatre getting my set started. I'd have gained 20 pounds with all that yummy stuff!!!!
glad some folks were able to get there though.
I'm pretty sure I gained 20 lbs just that day. OH. MY.HECK.
It was that good.
What can I say? You have a beautiful family and your food...well, there is no doubt that you are a professional and an unusually fine one at that. There really are no words....
The last two pics with Theo are my favorites...what a dog, and your two guys and Theo together...that's a great picture as is the one with the bunny.
