Suddenly the loose-ish tooth in our house is making me even more nostalgic.
If it helps at all, our nephew was a freshman at a nearby high school last year and he went to the freshman dance, soph hop, junior prom and senior ball. His classmates called it "epic" but if he's any indication, things are a little different these days.
In my professional development class, we've been talking a lot about the importance of acknowledging the fact that childhood development means the loss of childhood stages that have already been passed, and the importance of grieving those stages if a parent needs to.
First Kristin's post, then this, plus the fact that my child is on vacation this week has me in a state of grief!
So, grieve if you need too, it will make rejoicing in this next stage all the sweeter.
What did he say?!!
