There's something seriously fucked-up about my wishing that my numbers were worse in order that the light at the end of the tunnel might seem a little closer.

Stuck in Stage 4
I had blood work done over the weekend, and the good news is that kidney function hasn't gotten worse since the last round, in May. Holding steady at 24% function! The bad news is that I have to get sicker before I get better, as my transplant center won't get serious about preparing for a transplant until I'm at 20% function or worse.

Dude. That is totally fucked up. I don't know if I should hope that they drop to 20% or pray they never do. Quite a conundrum.
