AUCTION: Signed Flyers Hockey Stick

BIDDING CLOSED!

Some kids' books stick with you, and one of my favorites was always "The Flying Hockey Stick." Do you remember it? Barnaby Jones creates a flying machine out of a hockey stick, a fan, duct tape, and a VERY long extension cord. Off he goes with a bag of peanut butter sandwiches, and has the most wonderful adventures.

What does that have to do with this auction item? Well, nothing. But, it IS a hockey stick. Signed by Philadelphia Flyer Danny Briere, it's sure to be a collectors' item. But see, I don't know anything about sports. So, while I can't guarantee it flies, if you are a sports fan, it probably ranks as a pretty cool hockey stick.

(Okay, you want sports? Danny Briere lead the 2010 Stanley Cup playoffs in scoring with 30 points [12 goals and 18 assists] and in the process broke the record for points in a postseason game by a Flyer, previously held by Reggie Leach, who had 28. So there.)
